Have you ever heard of a new stadium, arena or concert hall being built without urinals?

That’s right, the crowd efficient, more hygienic, easier to clean, cheaper to build and more water efficient standing toilets for men.

Whilst Perth Stadium saw 42,723 spectators attend the 5 day Test match against the West Indies, the atmosphere was very different to the average of just over 38,000 that had seen the West Indies play all previous tests at the WACA Ground.

John Townsend at 91.3 SportFM believes Perth needs a stadium, not too big and not too small, for future Tests against teams like the West Indies and considers what is required to make the WACA Ground ‘just right’. Link below.

The WACA has proposed to grant the City of Perth a 40 year peppercorn lease over valuable WACA land for the City to build and operate a pool.

WACA MEMBERS ONCE AGAIN NEED TO ASK A LOT OF QUESTIONS!

The WACA was last refurbished in circa 2002, it did so without fanfare but a time when Premier Alan Carpenter’s Government was wanting to move cricket to Subiaco Oval. (WACA wins turf war with Subiaco Oval)

For the last 20 years the WACA’s successive administrations have struggled to achieve further refurbishment but for an upgraded media centre before the 2015 Cricket World Cup. Read More
